August 31 - Finishing up the modeling God this is has haunted me for too long. I have finally gotten to the stage where I can start work on the 2D Character. There has been a series of problems including, texture falling off, meshes breaking, a bug with the edge loop tool and symmetry and files going randomly missing. Should be able to start rendering out certain frames during the weekend. Will need to cut a few walls for the sack of the camera. Note to Self: Make sure these are their own scenes/Files. Self assessment I have not been doing very well on the project recently. For several months I have almost neglected blogs and progress has been slow. To make up for this lack of progress I have make up a quick mini due date schedule for each phase of the remaining animation work. It is a bit tight, but at this point I feel it has to be. August 22 - Remaking the airship

August 22 - Remaking the airship The Airship Had some trouble with the airship. When I went to UV map the Odysseus airship, the vertices would explode and fire off in random direction. I am unsure what is causing this and as a result, I totally clueless on how to fix it. In the end I have decided to redo the main body of the Odysseus as I don't think there a way to create band-aid fix. The current body is attached to the over hanging tail of the ship and that creates too many lines and vertices going through both parts of the body. Remaking the ship from scratch would be better as it will force me to be smart with the build. The Weta visit Really enjoyed the visit from Chet and Christina, although I am a bit unsure on the internship process stuff they mentioned. They mentioned the ATD internship, but I have struggled to find anything about it online. Will have to do some more research.
